Coach Carter(2005)
In 1999, Ken Carter, a successful sporting goods store owner,
accepted the job of basketball coach for his old high school
in a getto of Richmond, CA, where he had a chanpion shop record
which never broken anybody.
Richmond High's basketball team which called Oilers,they
Won only 4 games, another 22games they lost.
Not only probrem came from their dismal play but also their
poor attitudes Carther thought.
Where did their poor atitude come from?
In the High school, there was only half percent students who
were able to graduated, 3 percent were able to go to Univercity.
It was only the way how to continue basketball safety
in the future,to study hard and get scholarship and enter University,
or get away from jobless social background with basketball and study.
Carter handed on contract document each team mate before he started
training. He wrote down get your　grade each subjects over 2.3, take each
classies in the front row, whenever you patisipated convention,
keep your dress cord. Don't delay training time any reasons.
Training style of Carter was strict even his son Damien.
To build and keep up stamina and feed quick thinking,Carter forced
push-up and short range dash thousand of times which called
sucide dash. It's like haldle runner's training.
They distressed aching muscle.
At first Cruz who dropped out after he granse the contract,laughed
members but he couldn't stop his mind when they carried the bell.
eventually he came back the team. Cater believed union of the team.
Thanks for training or Carter, Oilers gained a
succession of victories. Their stamina and teamplay was almost
perfect. But Carter wasn't quite clear to one point.
If they would have made our contract, teachers would said something
about result...then why did they so kick up their heels...
just won district winning...?It was obvious lack of education...
His nightmare hit it. Most student didn't make contract.
Most student didn't attend class. Some of student won't graduate.
Their parents said it was only way playing basketball and
being scouting for good team promise his future...
But it was tip of the iceburg. Carter tried to lockout gymnasium
until teammate's keep his promise.

Based on a true story of Richmond High in '99.
Some of people misunderstand
波ood warrior and a good scholar・br> Producer and director tried to draw what is
true of good scholar and warrior mind, I thought.
Generally, "bright and educated is different".
Unfortunally,diplomaism society tend to misunderstand it.
After Coach Carter locked out gym, he told team mate
keep your contract.
Before that Cruz said Carter that you wanted just
result of the game.
As Carter found what mistake he had.
Not team mate,Coach himself should've blamed the result.
Then he told why he made the contract why going Univercity
was important their future.
Also he told in a commission like that
"If these boys cannot honor the simple rules of a
basketball contract,how long do you think it will be
before they're out there breaking the law?
I played ball here at Richmond High 30 years ago.
It was the same thing then; some of my teammates
went to prison,some of them even ended up dead."
I thought, some of teammate were bright just not
educated. How to educated?
They met respectable men Coach Carter.

Where the Money Is(2000)
Carol and Wayne were high school prom queel and king.
They celebrated their glory days and got married after
they chosed king and queen.
But...for about 10 years later,their life totally changed.
They had fed-up period because of they had boring job,
life anything.
Carol works at residential care home as a nurse,
Wayne works at factory in the night sift.
One day, a man who senile old men named Henry was sent
from police hospital.
Henry used to be a skillful robber who was specialized in
bank heist. But he arrested in vault because of
blackout of bank about 2years ago.
But Carol wouldn't think he was senile men.
He just pretend to do that.
When they made love each other,Henry seemed view
slap on the door.
As an old women got candy caught in her throat,
Henry taught her to get down stand light.
Carol took Henry out side of the home with Wayne.
Then they throw away him with wheel chair.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT!!" Meanwhile,Henry came up from lake.
He pretended to be senile men to deceive police's eyes.
Real Henry was stylish,charming and smart.
Wayne felt jerous when he say Carol danced with
Henry on the dinner floor.
Though Henry run away as they looked away from Henry.
Furtheremore he came back home as a senile men.
Since then, Henry pretended to semile man whenever
he was in home. Once he faced Carol or Wayne, he
came back real face of him.
Carol told her depression life,she used to be a
celebrated prom queen but she has no glory.
She wanted to get back her meaningful days.
To do that, she had a plan of bank robber for Henry.
At first, Henry ignore the plan. but...

When the movie was released on the public,
Some of media said Newman seemed retired
from the front line of showbiz.
(I don't know it's trune or not like A. Delon)
Then I took my ex-boss to see it of the
movie theather same theather as Dear Frankie,
The Tairor Of Panama,I Am David.
It was almost packed.
It was approiate for end of Newman's filmograpy.
It reminded me his excellent films each sequences.
Portrait of Henry's first impression was his
movie Cool Hand Luke.
If the Luke wound't be ganned,he would be like that.
When Henry glamorized Carol in the movie each sequences,
we were able to remind Nobody's Fool
Then why Henry choice women for his buddy?
I thought Newman doesn't think buddy is anybody is OK.
He offered many condition for buddy whenever
he wanted to make good job,good meaning of curiosity
people who is smart,has energy, had a humore.
Sandance Kid in Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid
was the best partner for Newman in a way.
At that point,T.Cruise in The Color of Money,
would lank down for partner of Newman.
In spite of he (Cruise) shoud've taught many things
he competitived Newman, not enjoyed.
This movie, Carol enjoyed with Newman though Wayne was
totally not good enough to be a partner.
Compare with Wayne and Carol,women is more cupidity
to life happily.
They always explore how to sucecce their life than
even their husband.
Probably Henry set off his spirit of robber by Carol.
But... if you would watch the movie,you'd catch the result..
Henry didn't choce own dream he offered what is
the most important for them, not money, not thrill.


Hooper(1980)
A skillful top-class stuntdouble Hooper showed his
stunt skill as he shot the movie little pieces of time
But he has felt his age day by day.
Whenever he did dashing stunts, actors and movie crews
reled on him however nobody knew his real body condition
Even though his girl friend Gwen who was a daughter of
old aging stunt double Jocko.
Even Jocko forced to Hooper that it's time to settle down.
But Hooper hasn't closen his eyes.
Due to long time his working,he had a danger affection on his back
He tried to get big job and retire this world.
During shooting the film he trouble with a director
Roger when he did the stunt with a dog.
He was fired temporally. Gwen found job for him to join stunt show.
At first Hooper made fun of the show however an up and coming
young stunt double Ski arrived from the Sky.
He was ex-boxer but he adored stunt world after he retired boxing.
They were end up to compete horse rase though Hooper won.
After the show Hooper and Ski,their stunt mate got to know
each other.Hooper told his memorabiria then he promised
Ski to take shooting place next afternoon.
Next afternoon,Hooper forgot his promise because of he drunk too much.
It couldn't help it...he took Ski shooting place to shot the stunt double.
Director Roger went mad all the same.
Suddenly Ski told why don't you change the stunt idea.
Roger was surpried the word from the new comer boy who was taken Hooper.
Hooper told it was one of the way leave it him.
Stunt idea of Ski was diamic and idearistic.
But Roger tried to change the script...he added the dinamic stunt
end of the movie...it would be jack pot stunt but...there were two
genious stunt double in the scene...
Hooper stood his life...where Ski's life would go...how about me...
At the same time Jocko was gone cause of stroke.
Just said..."My body is panteon but I alway tried to broke it..."

Burt Reynolds's heyday in the 1970s to biginning of '80.
Hooper represents the tail end of Reynolds's popularity.
If you would have considered Hooper himself's movie
I would said Driven.
Hooper--director and screenwrited inspired from
the life of stunt man. They point of the view
"All round player stunt double" at the time and in the future.
Then they tributed the film to veteran stuntman Buddy Joe Hooker.
Family member of Hooper and Buddy Joe was kind of similer.
Buddy had cud down his skill W. Fredkin's movie then he tried
many stunt double and stunt cordinator.

Every broadcast companies and newspapers and sponsors
were scared McCarthy however Murrow and his colleague
Friendly pay 3000dollars for NY times to ad.their news.
They were able to do a feature.
Their program succeed however McCarthy's confidant sticked
the document that Murrow might be communist.
CEO of CBS read it　would be "gamble for company".
He determinded to rely on Murrow's decition.

George Clooney痴 second film as a director was
a sharply scripted film with a terrific
central performance from David Strathairn and
suitable sound track song by grammy winner Dianne Reeves.
Above all,monochrome film made me relaxing.
Recently,most movies use CG,careful digital film.
Sometimes I wanna see those kind of film.
Of cause Murrow's speech were splended.
"Because if they are right, and this instrument is
good for nothing but to entertain,amuse and insulate,
then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see
that the whole struggle is lost."
"This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes,
and it can even inspire.
But it can do so only to the extent that humans are
determined to use it to those ends.
Otherwise it is merely wires and lights in a box. "
We would say also using PC.
If Murrow would arive, he bemoaned present days.
The movie draw good days of Murrow thought he made retired

Father of director Rodrigo was famous of novel
100 years of Solitude.
His father wrote about rich and poor by by economic side though
Director draw who was satisfied with life style then he made result
even though they had lots of of money and steady carrer, they wouldn't
be satisfied with their life and they hold solitude mind usually.
Before I wrote this movie review, I've watched this movie 4 times.
First time, I watched in a movie thether because of one of friends
recommended to see it.
I thought it was kind of boring for me at that time.
Second time, I watched by rental DVD to see extra capture.
But I felt same kinds of things for first time.
Several years after... I watched it on TV,the feeling about movie
was changing. I meant I was able to accept life of personage.
Pesonage of this movie felt solitude their mind however they have
no space to open their mind.
Because they knew what did these around see them.
They've pretended "fake oneself" and they're about to tired to do that.
Then they found I'm not solitude...
Director mixted 5storied so much
Even though there were bug name appear on the same stage,we didn't
consious in the movie.
Shooting days was less than 1month and no-retake, small budget,
