Dodgeball:A True Underdog Story(2005) |
We don't know that the owner of fitness gym
has failed to business investiment or can't
afford to do it...name was mediocre as a
fitness club,Average JoeOoops,not only
naming but also,employees,club members and owner
Peter,who has failed to pay public fee of own gym
for about 6 months because he cound't afford to pay them.
One day, a beautiful female attoney Kate warned
Peter if you would continue to ignore the warning,
you would be bought by Grobo Gym which built
across the street of Average Joe.
Also Grobo Gym was one of the reason why Average Joe
was end up to hold financial trouble.
The owner of Grobo Gym White was self-confidence,
out-of-date,'70s hairstyle,handlebar mustache and
he had a lots of conficent with his body.
The member of Average Joe shouted we don't wanna go
Grobo Gym even though there would be closed.
Only the way how to raise the money to pay public bill
was entry Dodgeball Competition.
The competition was everybody has right to entry.
The member of Average Joe decided to entry.
But nobody know how to play Dodgeball.
A highschool student who was obsessed with cheerleeding,
a husband who cast off his wife totally,a man who has
looking for girlfriend for a long time,a man who believe
himself pirate,a employee who work the gym almost no fee..
The first fight was about to lost against girl-scout team.
After the game of regional heat, a misterious man who
sat down a wheelcheir appeared.
He said himself Dodgeball coach and promise to win the
competition.
After that,the female lawyer Kate jointed the team, she
got sexual harassment White.
On the other hand, White lined up a member of Dodgeball team
he scout a lady whose country's representative sports is Dodgeball
So...will fortune smile upon Peter or...?

How funny it was! It reminds me fitness gym which I used to go to and
now I go there. The fitness gym which used to go to, there look like
Average Joe, now I go there which look like Grobo Gym.
Also situation of the story was really similar( of cause the fitness gym
was closed! not like movie!) So I was happy to see this movie.
COME ON! CAME BACK! Atmosphere never came back again, you know?
...Anyway...now I work out pack of people, oxygen deficiency studio,
girls never move over each other, show off each other...what a
hectic studio,Huh?
The movie Dodgeball laugh away and how stupid make yourself
unnaturally such as hard workout, dietary restriction, what's for
who smiled for you if you would lose your weight or body shape?
The beginning of the movie, Peter and White, both couldn't find
whose smiled for them.
But Peter can find whose smile for him through play Dodgeball
to keep own gym and he can find how many people love he and his gym.
On the other hand, White lost everything.
The point of this movie, not game, probably,
"Who help you if you would be in dire straits."
It include friends, co-workers, family...then,fate.
The movie, there were a lots of scenes which fate helped them.
It was funny. (If you wound walk avenue of success load till now,
it seemed suck, but I'm not.)
After all, Peter was able to win and he showed his skill as a
fitness gym owner finally.
Characters were mostly look like unspectacular characters but
once they started move on the screen, they changed comedian!
And there were funny cameo appearances.

Time setting '60 in Constantinople...before the Cyprus
didn't indepent as a republic...Turkish,Muslim,and Greek
there were mixed in a country like spice...
Fanis had growed up Constaninople, his memories was
stock loft of his grand father Vassilis.
Vassilis example life of everything and Astrologia.
Fanis told how fantastic living the life from Vassilis.
Whenever someone got married or uncle of Fanis Amilious
who was a sailorman came back to here, all of family member's
held cooking party.
But such like happy days didn't continue.
Developer of Turkish persuaded independing of Cyprus,
Greek people might forth to exit Greek.
It meant domestic split-up. For Fanis the time to
farewell Vassilis and a first love girl Saime.
The day of fawell, Saime and Vassilis sent him off the station.
"Take it Fanis" "I'll go with Saime someday"...
But they never came Greek since now...
Several years later, Fanis was a top of cheff.
He had a chance to meet Vassilis, it was a wedding party of
uncle Aimilious.
But bride of Aimilious was totally different of his stories
which used to told Fanis old days.
Fanis got mad her then he messed up uncle's wedding.
He found that Vassilis never came here because he loved
Constaninple...
Now...he is astronomer of university , he visited Constantinople.
Dose he chance to meet Vasilise and Saime...?

I watched movie trailer of this movie in theater...a harf year ago.
It was kind of destiny stort distribution movie.
After east side of Japan's showing schezule was finishe
north side of Japanese movie gower can see the movies
some times. Anyway...
Based on a director's semi-autobiography story.
He draw two points in the movie,ethnic diversity and
to eat something was enjoying your life.
In the movie, all of casts, whenever they eats something
they eat with somebody and talk something.
Diretor draw how important eating something with somebody,
enjoy your life.
But the movie telephone sound always intrrupted their
time of happiness.
They always bad news though I thought if the telephone bell
wouldn't ring like that, Fanis wouldn't came back
his home town I thought and he cound't meet Saime.
Even though it's too late...didn't right to say
anything for her...
Then he sent her off Saime and said
"Don't turn around, turning back mean reunion..."
It was sad and strike my cord.

Danny the Dog(2005) |
Danny was kidnapped when he was a child.
Only his memory about family,a beautiful women,
who has long black hair,she had a piano.
There was a beautiful melodie on his ear...
His memory stopped at the moment.
Since then Danny was trained like death machine
he wasn't able to give any education even elementaly
school. Now he was bolded up heavy coller by his
boss Burt who was kidnapper Danny.
After he did his job, he was blocked in basement bail
There was a sand-bag,a old bear stuffed toy,and a picture
book. Danny has read it to death and he attracted piano
on the picture book.
Once his coller depart and Burt said Danny "Kill!"
Danny changed leathal weapon.
Burt made a living as a dept collecter.
Sometimes borrower tried to get free of debt without paying.
Then Burt used Danny.
Danny has spent a day as a leathal weapon for Burt.
One day he went warehouse which stocked antiquities with Burt.
He waited another brock Burt. He found a lots of piano.
Then he met a blind piano turner Sam and he found how beautiful
piano was really. But he forget his real job.
Due to style of collecting dept,Burt incured borrowers hatred.
After he collect his depts,Burt and Danny involved car accidents.
Danny was able to bailout the car and he thought Burt already dead.
He run away a warehouse which have been.
Sam caught a whiff of Danny why he had a injuly.
Sam decided to carry him his house and take care him with his daugher
Victoria...

The dust is beginning to settle...I was able to write
this movie review anyway.
Once a movie fad,type of the movie was difficult to
write movie review.
On the other hand, after watched typicall brockbuster
movie or epocmaking movies,I get urge to write review
quckly.Probabry I wanted to write down my emotion.
But Danny The Dog was not type of brockbusting
movie for me. As far as I'm concerned,it should be
"crafted" movie.
Jet Li tried to put greater emphasis on mentality acting
than acting acting.
Before the movie opened on the public he reveled
"Martial arts without responsibility and love,
it's just violence."
In spite of he made a point the thing, a part of
moviegower, young guys or ladies seemed they
didn'get the those kind of points,shamed.
Sam was really important role he gave Danny
the chance to think for himself how to ged rid of
his abhominable past and remembered the merodie.
Once he found merodie was played by his mother,
he was able to find who should defend his second life
which catch himself.
Then he was able to hate,everything which tied him
desappier,I thought.

The mother regualy writes deaf son a letter from
make-believe father who works abroad a ship
traveling exotic lands
However, she soon finds out of his "father"'s ship
will be arriving a few days...
Dear da, did you know something? We're moving again.
Ma says it's time. She says it's definitely
the last time but she says that every single time!
Nana Gourley says if there is a next time
they'll have to carry her out in a box and
ma says 'don't tempt her!....
Frankie was deaf due to his father's domestic violence
when he was a child.
His mother Lizzy and grand-mom Nell have wormed out of
his domestic around the Scottland with trailer.
In spite of Frankie might be able to speak something
Lizzy won't to encourage him to speak.
Frankie used hand-talking whenever he talk something.
And he believed mother's story..
"Your father was salor who board a long-distance ship
which was named Acra,so it was difficult to see you"
Frankie has written letters his father who's never seen before
But repling of letters written by his mother Lizzy.
Truth was, all of letters went to post-office box.
Lizzy got them and she wrote reply all of them.
One day Frankie found there was real Acraand
which is going to make a port near the town.
Once she determinded to tell truth though Frankie told
he bet his friend if the father would come or not.
Lizzy thought how felt sorry for Frankie she tried to
find one day father in Acra.....

There is much longer side of The Stranger,which I know
I have within myself, aside of solutide...
Before I watched this movie, I don't watch any
movie of Gerard Butler though I felt a premonition
that this movie might be refrect his inner side of him.
After I watched it,I found his part of life circle
reminds us Frankie.
His parents got divorced when he was a child.
When he was 16, he was able to his father first time.
He told when he played the scene of meeting Frankie
"I was about to collapse myself...I'm not a type of
person who is outgoing,I like to be solutide."
Sometimes mothers found how sofisticated their children.
When they had a lie due to protect their children
sometimes incurred feeling of guilt.
But their children gave silent their(mother)'s lies
Because they know why mother have to lie to you.
We could find who was the stranger the last scene.
He was brother of Mary.
Probabry,she has been waited for a long time as a chip's
owner when he got out of the town.
Knocking around of supporting actor's story,we can find
another story of drama, don't you think?
Last sequence of the movie...what do you think of about that?
After watching the movie,you might be gently for someone...

Dick worked at executive of a megacorp Globaldyne.
His wife Jane worked at travel vendor.
They had a child and doing well enough to afford a
new lawn and a hispanic housekeeper Blanca.
Dick is summoned to the 51st floor at Globodyne
and informed by the company's mercurial-
oleaginous president,he assign someone to .
Two hours later, while Dick is on television
to promote the company,the value of stock
was felt down suddenly and all of employments
were fired include Dick.
Before the stick felt down CEO had flet to
somewhere by chopper.
Dick had to trade in his new BMW,blan-new TV
finally they were cut off power supply.
Even they found a new job there were
lots of people who used to work at same
company wait on a line.
When hourly wage jobs as a greeter at a
superstore (him) and a guinea pig for Botox
testers (her) don't work out, Dick and Jane
determinded robbery was to go store.
Who is tha final target? CEO,Macaristar.
Annual income of CEO is 400times of common saralyman
Why don't they devide just 100times? Um?
Dick and Jane involved drinking ex-vice-president,
They were going to revenge CEO...

Based on a '77 comedy of the same name starring
Jane Fonda and George Segal.
The movie gives "special thanks"(in a way)
to Enron, Ken Lay, Dennis Kozlowski, Tyco
in Japan Livedoor such like long list of
execs who bailed on their companies and
left their employees holding the bag.
One running joke is, their son spent
so much more time with her than with them,
he mostly spoke Spanish in the movie.
The film also feels stretched, even at 90 minutes.
In a movie trailer told "revenging CEO by
Jim and emplyees" I expected however when I
watched it just Jim tried to stole CEO money.
where other emplyee's went? I'd like to ask it.
I could said as long as nerve and verve,
the movie better thanMr.and Mrs.Smith
Especially when Jim tried to got grass everywhere
in a night.
